loading zone / sons of champlin

...from san francisco, back in the day these jazzy hippy cats laid down a solid offering of horn rock with plenty of soul and R'n'B flavour to keep it flowing...doesn't completely connect on first or second hearing but run it through a few times and gradually the juice is rinsed out and the whole thing perculates real nice...loading zone were regular on the ballroom scene in old 'frisco and any cat can see they would kicked it with a mighty roar live...

...this freewheeling frisco r&b rock and soul funky green machine knocked out this happening piece of horn rocked vibed double biscuit in late '68...real punchy sound full of goodly hep jazzbo rocking grooves and social hippy lyrics make this a nice trip...turned out to be their finest hour as they never really captured the groove again and the enthusiasm thats sprawling out here was never this immediate on later wax...dig this long lost early biscuit from these reefered beatnix...
